4 month checkup

Mason went to the pediatrician on Monday for his four month checkup. Dr. Didea said he is growing just as he would like and is a healthy boy!

Here are his stats:

Weight - 15 lbs (70% percentile)
Length - 25 inches (50% percentile)

He had to get four shots this time - which is something both Mason and Mommy hate! (Although it probably upsets me a lot more!!) He was such a little trooper - He cried and cried, but lots of kisses and cuddling on the couch watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse made it seem a little better. Poor baby!

Dr. Didea said we could also start solid foods - although he said exclusively breastfed babies (such as Mason) typically don't need solids until they are six months.  Nevertheless, we were still excited to try it! We gave him a little bit of rice cereal that night and he did not seem to like it at all - kept spitting it out! I guess I can't blame him - it looks and smells pretty gross!

Next on the agenda.... Moving Mason into his BIG BOY crib!
