We get to go home!

They released us from the hospital on Friday, August 27 and we were so anxious to get our little guy home! He seemed to adjust really well to his new home, even if he did sleep most of the time!  We spent our first couple of days home figuring each other out... We had lots of visitors and, thankfully, most of them brought food with them! I learned (the hard way) that Mason's little tummy cannot tolerate chocolate or tomatoes.

He eats every three hours, like clockwork!  We totally underestimated what a big job it is to take care of such little guy - thankfully it is a labor of love! And, even more thankfully, we have lots of help from our family.  Our parents came over and helped us with housework or babysitting whenever we asked and my mom even spent the night a couple of times.  It felt like I hit the jackpot when she would take one nighttime feeding and I could sleep for five hours straight - instead of two and a half!

A couple more pictures from our first days at home...

He loves snoozing in his swing. A baby shower gift from my office!

First bath!

Meeting his Aunt Abbey for the first time - She made the 8 hour drive home from college the first chance she could!

Our "first" baby Fisher - he pouted for the first couple of days.
